FAQ
Got questions?
Everything you need to know about booking and preparing for your collection.
Where should I leave my items?
You can leave your items outside your front door, or inside your home if you prefer — our driver will knock when they arrive. If it's easier, you can also leave them in a safe place like a garage or shed. Just let us know in advance so the driver knows where to look.
Do I need to label the bags or boxes?
If you're not handing the items directly to the driver, please label your bags or boxes clearly with ClearOut Collect so our driver knows they're for collection.
I have a large amount to be collected — what should I do?
If you have more than 20 bags or boxes, please email us at info@clearout-collect.com with a clear photo of the items and the total number of bags/boxes. This helps us plan the collection and ensure we have enough space in the van.
Where do you collect from?
We collect from most areas across England and Wales. Coverage may vary slightly depending on location — feel free to contact us if you're unsure whether we can collect from your postcode.
How should I pack the items?
Items can be packed in any bags or boxes that are strong enough to carry the contents safely. There are no strict size or weight limits — we just ask that each bag or box is light enough for one person to lift and carry comfortably.
I live in a flat — how does collection work?
Our driver will buzz your flat number to gain access and collect from your door. If you'd prefer to leave items in a communal area or outside, just let us know beforehand so the driver is aware.
What happens to the items after collection?
All collected items are sorted and resold through various resale channels, both within the UK and overseas, depending on demand and suitability. Nothing ends up in landfill.
